Friedl Pfeifer Clubhouse

The new AVSC Clubhouse was constructed in 2000 with proceeds from a $3.8 million Capital Campaign. Located across the street from the Aspen Public Schools, the Clubhouse is located on a 1.3-acre site donated by the Moore Family Partnership. The site features dedicated ski lift access to Aspen Highlands. The building is designed around a grand commons area conducive to camaraderie and team building. Flanking the common room are lockers, changing areas, equipment storage and wax rooms and meeting rooms with video equipment and administrative offices.

Just outside the Clubhouse, the Five Trees ski lift transports AVSC participants to the top of Aspen Highlands' Thunder Bowl where AVSC's on-snow training courses are set. Nordic skiers enjoy equally easy access to the Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Council Trails - only steps from the Clubhouse door.

On Mountain

AVSC participants access the four mountains of Aspen/Snowmass: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass and the nordic trails of the Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Council. Aspen Mountain boasts the World Cup ski racing; Aspen Highlands features the all-mountain excitement of Highlands Bowl as well as the local Town Race Series. Buttermilk has hosted the ESPN X-Games and features outstanding half-pipes and terrain park facilities. Snowmass, the largest of the four mountains, has hosted national and international competitions in free skiing, speed skiing and snowboarding. The Nordic Council oversees over 80 km of groomed and ungroomed trails.
