The AVSC National Council is a group that formed five years ago to provide the Club with a stable source of funding. The group has grown from a dozen committed individuals to well over 80 members today. They are the foundation that allows AVSC to pursue the goals of opportunity, excellence and values.
Without the National Council's commitment to AVSC, the Club would be unable to offer subsidized programs to all participants and scholarships to over 500 of them. As we approach the milestone of 2,000 participants, all of us at AVSC thank the National Council for their steadfast support. Their generosity has made a difference in the lives of thousands of local children.
AVSC National Council members have fun and share our passionate belief in:
Opportunity - All children growing up here should have the chance to ski or snowboard.
Excellence - We have to help those who want to reach their full potential - they should not have to leave Aspen to find the training they need.
Values - Through skiing and snowboarding we can instill the values of commitment, teamwork, discipline and citizenship.
