Nordic Bonfire Dinner
The annual AVSC Nordic Bonfire Dinner, one of Aspens most unique winter outdoor fundraisers, will be held Saturday, January 10 from 6:00-8:00 PM. The event features an evening of cross-country skiing, eating, drinking, and socializing under the moon and stars at the Cross Country Center on the Aspen Golf Course.
The Bonfire Dinner draws hundreds of cross-country skiers and snowshoers of all ages and abilities. Those who attend this progressive dinner will ski or snowshoe, guided by starlight and luminaries, from bonfire to bonfire, where they will enjoy hot spiced wine & cocoa, appetizers, and soups & stews from some of Aspens most popular restaurants.

Nordic Drag Races Under the Lights at Wagner Park at 6:00 p.m.
The area's best Nordic (cross-country) skiers compete head-to-head in downtown Aspen to see who can cover 100 yards the fastest for a combined purse of $1,500. Bonfire and a d.j. will keep the crowd warmed up and cheering for their favorites!

FIS Surefoot Colorado Cup Speed Series - Aspen Mountain
The races being held on Aspen Mountain are the FIS Surefoot Speed Series Races, part of the Colorado Ski Cup. The event is an open event meaning any FIS certified athlete can compete. It is open to J2s (15-16 years old), J1s (17-18 years-old) and seniors (19+ years old). It is a J2 and J1 Junior Olympic qualifying event. The event consists of two downhill races on Feb. 24 and 25 as well as two Super-G races on Feb. 26 and 27. Come and catch the action!

AVSC Day at Aspen Mountain - Fresh Tracks for a Good Cause!
So you want to get a head start on the slopes? You want a taste of the fresh snow we just received? Does the thought of first tracks on Aspen Mountain sound good? Come join the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club for our annual Ski and Snowboard Day on Wednesday, November 25th. Aspen Skiing Company has generously allowed AVSC access to the mountain the day before the official opening day to help the Club raise much need funds.
Tickets can be purchased at the Gondola ticket plaza at the base of Aspen Mountain starting at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $35 for adults and $15 for kids ages 18 and under.
AVSC is the valleys oldest and largest youth non-profit organization reaching over 1,900 children and adolescents and engages them in winter sports that teach our core values of commitment, teamwork and integrity. AVSC is a model of snow sports integration. 18% of our participants come from Latino households. Over 550 children and teens got scholarships to participate last season and our goal is to reach every interested child regardless of circumstance.

AVSC 7th Annual Winter Whiteout Gala presented by Alpine Bank
The Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club is ready to celebrate the 7th Annual Winter Whiteout Gala at the Hotel Jerome on Saturday, December 5th from 6:30 to midnight!
This year's theme is "On the Road to the Olympics" and will celebrate AVSC's past, present and future Olympians. Come help us kick off the season! The party will feature a gourmet seated dinner featuring a specialty tasting menu artfully prepared by the top chefs at the Hotel Jerome. There will be a wide variety of silent and live auction items to bid on to help you with your holiday shopping. Items include stays at various Rock Resorts, unique winter sports gifts, and dinners up and down the valley.
The party will also feature a champagne welcome, a terrific live band and Aspen former and current Olympians in attendance.

This Saturday is the Fun/Race Day for Aspenauts - a celebration of the last day of programs for Aspenauts ages 3 1/2 to Kindergarten. All fun races will start at 1:15 p.m. Lower level races will be just above the magic carpet on Fanny Hill and the upper level races will be at the Children's Race Arena on Scooper. Parents without season passes can purchase lift tickets for the day for the discounted price of $63 thanks to Aspen Skiing Company. 10th Annual Aspen Klug Spring Snowboard Camp
This is Chris Klug's signature alpine snowboarding camp with phenomenal training in giant slalom and slalom snowboarding at Buttermilk. The event is open to any intermediate and advanced snowboarders aged 10 and up and runs from April 2-4. AVSC members get a discounted price of $368 dollaers or $140 per day.
