SUMMER CAMPS
Freestyle Freeride Water Ramp camps
About Ramp camps- For the sixth year we (Elana and a combination of Geoff, Lynn, Mido, Aaron and Eric) will travel to and coach at The Utah Olympic Park in Park City. The UOP is an incredible facility built for the US Team to train aerials year round. There are 6 jumps (from small to huge) into an aerated (bubbles to soften the water) pool and 3 Trampolines. Most skiers jump between 25-40 jumps per day! Our goal is to build a solid foundation of jumping skills, learn new tricks, and increase the level of consistency, confidence and safety while jumping. We have had very productive camps at the UOP and feel water ramping is the best value for your summer training dollars. An athlete could do all of our water ramp camps for the cost of 1 week at a commercial camp in Whistler BC. This is the fastest and safest way to improve jumping skills. We will stay in Condos / town homes located in Park City about 6 miles from the UOP. If any parents would like to join us or meet us there, give us a call. Price includes transportation, lodging, coaching and UOP (water ramp use). Meals not included. If anyone will travel with parents or has their own wetsuit we will adjust the price. To Travel with AVSC to Ramp camps Athletes must be 11 or older and well behaved. Younger rampers are welcome to come jump with us each day and stay with their parents.
Here is a great article on water ramping at the UOP (with mention of AVSCs Walter Wood and Elana Chase) from Ski Racing-http://www.skiracing.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5484&Itemid=2
